Preserve renewable energy’s freedom to flourish in Iowa
Iowa’s slogan, “Freedom to Flourish,” promotes economic growth and local empowerment across the state but should also ring true for landowners and the renewable energy industry.
Without utility-scale renewable energy projects, Iowa will fail to reach growing energy demands and miss out on much-needed business opportunities as developers look elsewhere to develop.
With statewide legislation promoting the growth of renewable energy, businesses can look to Iowa knowing there are development opportunities instead of seeing endless barriers that send them running out of the state.
As technology like AI advances, Iowa sits in a prime position to host the data centers and businesses that power the technology, but not without renewable energy to support the increased energy demand. As the demand for energy increases, so does the need for diverse energy sources to power and protect the grid.
Iowa has never been closer to energy dominance than we are now. By enacting statewide siting legislation for renewable energy projects, Iowa strengthens its economy, expands businesses, and ensures that local governments and property owners are protected and thrive under our “Freedom to Flourish” vision.
